His death is recorded in _____ County death records, v II, p 136. His death certificate was signed by Dr. George C. Cassels. Christina Possley, Belgium, Wisconsin, was the informant.

He married Christina Croatt Lecher 9 February 1920 at Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church at Holy Cross, Town of Belgium. Reverend Philipp Schweitzer presided. Witnesses were Mike T. She married, first, John Lecher 25 May 1909 at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Lake Church, Town of Belgium. Reverend W. B. Bruecker presided. Witnesses were Belle Thall of Rural Route #2, Milwaukee, and Anna Lecher of Town of Belgium. The marriage is recorded in the marriage register of the church. He was born 22 September 1970 (or 71) at Town of Belgium, the son of Nicholas and Mary (Thomas) Lecher. See Ozaukee County death record, v 7, no. 95 which says he was born in 1870. His gravestone inscription says "1871".

He died 18 December 1918, age 47, of bronchial pneumonia due to Spanish influenza, at Town of Belgium. He was buried 20 December 1918 in the Catholic Cemetery at Holy Cross. His death is recorded in Ozaukee County death records, v 7, no. 95.
